Under the brand name “Your Pellets”, “Trakiya Les” Ltd. produces two types of biomass fuel: pellets derived only by softwood or combination of softwood and hardwood in 50/50 proportion. The size for both of them is six millimeters across. Packaging, which those pellets are delivered in, has weight of 16 kg each. In case of bigger order, different package can be negotiated.
Wood pellets are clean, neutral according CO2 and easy-to-use fuel, produced by sawdust and waste, pressed under high pressure using no glue or other substances. Wood pellets is cylindrical shaped and generally in 6-10 mm diameter and 10-33 mm. Hereby, wood pellets are highly standardized and pressed, which allow reducing of transport cost. They contribute for automation of exploitation of heating and electrical power station, as well, regardless if they are for residential or for major energy consumption installation. In fast growing share, wood pellets are major resource for growing utilization of biomass in Europe and other regions. Also, they are excellent mean for local resources use contributing for nature preservation and climate changes control. European Union has set various aims for share increase for recycled energy sources which can generate heat and electrical supply. The biomass has a main role in these aims and particularly the wood pellets possess a key technology with a few specific advantages. Wood pellets are cheaper and more compact for transportation rather than other type of biomass. On the other hand, the high rate of standardization gives an opportunity for extremely low fuel emissions even for narrow application. Wood pellets, also, has very convenient shape for end users – they could be delivered in truck or a bag and are suitable for use in automatic feeding systems and this make them easy to process and saving time, as the same are the systems working with gas or liquid fuel.
